Purim Activities and More

Dear Parents and teachers,
I wanted to let you know what is coming up for Purim, and also fill you in on something we worked on for next Sunday;

1. The Purim festivities begin on Saturday night, March 3 at 6:00 (Dinner, $3 per person), followed by face painting, bounce house, Megillah reading at 7, clown, balloon animals and ice cream sundae bar.

2. The festivities continue on Sunday, March 4, at Religious School (9:30-12:00pm) with a costume parade, bounce house, pinata and more.

3. Tarrant County Community Purim Celebration will be held at Congregation Ahavath Sholom on Sunday, March 4 from 12:30pm - 2:30pm, they will be serving hot dogs and hamantaschen, and have lots of booths with all kinds of fun stuff!

4. Here’s what we did at Sunday school - all grades (from the preschool to 10th grade) got a cardboard plate that folds into a triangular shaped box. Then they drew names of their classmates, and the name they got is the person they will be bringing Mishloach Manot (goodies) for on Sunday, March 4. The goodies are food items only, that require different kind of blessing (fruit, candy, juice, etc.)

Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope to see you all in costumes on Saturday and Sunday!
Danielle
