What’s Up With Brotherhood?

Brotherhood held its first official meeting of the secular New Year on Tuesday evening, February 20^th. Many thanks to Barry Schneider for his generous donation of pizza and beer. After all, who wants to hold a meeting on an empty stomach? Accordingly we are pleased to announce the newly elected slate of officers:

President- Richard Posner

Vice-President- Brian Kaplan

Treasurer- Joe Beckerman

Membership- Mark Swartz

Programming- Howard Weiss

Secretary/Publicity- Alan Weiner

All members present made a personal commitment to revitalize the Brotherhood as a viable and organic auxiliary arm of the congregation. We look forward to hearing soon of the many varied social and philanthropic events they will have in store for us.

That being said, we need you to make this happen; especially the younger men in our congregation! You are the future of the Brotherhood and we want to get to know you and enjoy your fellowship and the comradery that is currently missing because of your absence.

Annual dues are modestly priced at only $36.00 per year. An application is included as a separate attachment with this month’s HaShomer. 

We ask you to answer the call. Do your part to insure the future of male Jewish community and continuity in the Mid-Cities area and have fun along the way!
