ARFTY Update

Hey ARFTY-ites, there are 2 positions for the ARFTY board that still need to be filled, so it’s time to cast your votes. The Positions are: Corresponding VP (Alycia Robertson), and Historian (Rachel Cooper, Chloe Pelleteir, or Stephanie Levy). To cast your vote all you have to do is choose one of the candidates (In parentheses) and then email Al your choice at Frat32@aol.com, or call him at 817-457-6422. Don’t forget to have your votes in by MAY 1ST!
Also, the installation for the new board members which was originally scheduled on May 11th has been moved up to Friday, May 4 because Al will be out of town the following week for his son Danny’s graduation. Here are some additional rules, and a reminder that he attached with the email for the ceremony:
1. If you are an outgoing or incoming board member, you must attend the board meeting which will include the rehearsal for the Installation service. The meeting is this Wednesday at 5:30 in the sanctuary.
2. If you are a member of ARFTY, you need to attend the Installation service this Friday, May 4 at 8:00 p.m. This is the one service you need to show your support for ARFTY. We need you to be participants and help with the singing, and there are still several people that need camp attendance credit. This would be the perfect opportunity - it’ll be short, it’ll be nice, and it would be great to see your support of the youth group.
3. If you are a senior, you will be called to the Bimah by the Rabbi as is the tradition. He calls up the seniors and does a special blessing for you and let’s you give a brief few words about your future plans. Senior parents typically sponsor the Oneg. You will probably be contacted by Danielle.
We’ve had 100% participation by board members and seniors. This year we expect no less and want to see as many ARFTYites as possible.
P.S. 1. Camp Impact meeting this Sunday, May 6. Reminder postcard is in the mail. We
need any Tee-Shirt sales/names turned in at this meeting. There will still be a short
window of time to get the sponsorship completed but we are running out of time and
so far we only have a few names to include on the back of the tee shirts….last year
we had over 40 CBS FAMILY NAMES -PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET THIS
MOVING!!!!
2. If this is being read by an ARFTY Parent, please make your child aware of the
service and camp meeting note mentioned above.
