Rakin’ with Ruach!

We are planning a multi-phased Mitzvah project for our campus.  Called Rakin’ with Ruach, this project will involve providing internal and external upkeep and basic maintenance for our campus.  The first phase of this project will focus on mowing the grass surrounding our campus and performing basic ground maintenance around our sanctuary.  The mowing will be completed by our wonderful maintenance crew.

To perform the ground maintenance, we need adult and teenage (e.g., Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Sylvia Grey Chaverim, ARFTY) volunteers to assist with raking, pruning, trimming of bushes/trees, and load the debris onto a trailer.  We plan to conduct the ground maintenance on Sunday, October 7 and 14, beginning at 9:00 AM.  As part of this Mitzvah project, please bring your garden tools (rakes, wheelbarrows, trimmers/edgers, pruners, etc.), gloves, a box of heavy duty 40-ton garden trash bags, and lunch/drinks.  On October 20 at 2pm, we will remove the debris from our ground maintenance operation and haul it to the Arlington landfill.  Volunteers for this endeavor would also be appreciated.

To help us with project coordination, please contact David Markson at_817 277-8507 or Larry Fleischer at 817 514-0000 to participate in this vital effort.  ARFTYites should coordinate with Al Fratina.  We need to hear from you by October 4th.

Please understand that this effort is not only important for the maintenance and upkeep of our grounds, but the long term viability of our structures depend on it!

We will provide further reminders/information about this multi-phased Mitzvah project via email messages, Hashomer, flyers, and during our Shabbat service announcements.

Thanks for your help in performing this wonderful Mitzvah for our campus!!
