T’ai Chi at Beth Shalom

Congregation Beth Shalom Sisterhood
invites you to an evening of T’ai Chi led by Phyllis Richmond Thursday, October 18 at 7:00pm in the Religious School Assembly room. T’ai Chi Ch’uan is a unique system of mental and physical exercise that helps to reduce stress and improve balance, mobility, muscle tone, and energy. The sequences of movement and breathing exercises were developed centuries ago in China as both a martial art and a way to achieve health and longevity by improving the circulation of energy throughout the body. Regular practice of these slow, flowing movements gradually conditions the muscles and joints, increases the flow of energy, and improves focus and balance in daily life. Anyone can practice T’ai Chi at any age. Please wear comfortable clothing as if you were going to the gym and sneakers or Chinese shoes–no heels, skirts, suits or ties! The class is open to women and men of all ages. The session will be 1 1/2 hours long. NO CHARGE for the class Babysitting available upon request (pay babysitter directly) Please contact Danielle Snailer at: daniellesnailer@aol.com for more information or to reserve babysitting
