CBS first annual Golf Tournament

Dear Friend,

On Tuesday, April 29, 2008 Congregation Beth Shalom and the Susan G. Koman Foundation are holding their first annual Golf Tournament. As part of this fundraiser, we are in search of goods and services from our area businesses, stores, and restaurants that will be used for auction items and prizes.

Congregation Beth Shalom (CBS) provides spiritual support for 160 family units and plays an active role in community interfaith programs. Each year, the youth group of CBS sponsors and operates Camp Impact, a weeklong summer camp for underprivileged children in Dallas/Fort Worth. For the past eleven years, CBS’s youth group gears up to lead children ages 6 to 13 in numerous fun and exciting summer activities. CBS also provides meals and other support for Arlington Life Shelter and makes weekly deliveries of canned goods and personal supplies to the Arlington Women’s Shelter; CBS teaches and encourages the next generation to be a part of the community and to do charitable acts.

The Susan G. Koman Foundation is the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. Koman for the Cure has supported breast cancer research over the past 25 years as well as providing community grants for breast health and treatment. Their ambition is to empower people and ensuring quality care for all. They are dedicated to curing breast cancer at every stage - from the causes to the cures, to the pain and anxiety of every moment in between.

Your tax-deductible contribution will assist the Koman Foundation and CBS in continuing these worthwhile efforts. You may mail you donation to the address below or we will gladly pick it up from you. Receipts for your charitable gift are available by contacting the CBS office, (817) 860-5448.

All sponsors will be acknowledged in the Texas Jewish Post, a local Dallas/Fort Worth publication with a readership of over 20,000.
