Adult Education Opportunities

Education is a lifelong pursuit, especially as it relates to increasing our knowledge of Judaism and our connection to its precepts. Toward that end we are pleased to present the following opportunities:

Torah Study is held every Shabbat morning at 9 am prior to Services. Join the group and participate in a mitzvah: the study of Torah

Jewish Thought

At first glance, defining Mitzvot or Commandments to ReformJews as a set of instructions we are commanded to do may seem paradoxical. In this class we will explore this subject over 13 weeks by reading essays by a group of Reform rabbis on just this subject. By relating their personal journeys and defining moments of the North American Reform experience, the authors capture the Reform Movement’s positions on this complex subject. The class format will consist of reading the essays, discussing them in class, and it is to be hoped, forming our own opinions on the role of Mitzvot in our lives.
