Congregation Beth Shalom invites you to worship with us during the High Holy Days. Our services will be led by Cantor Sheri Allen and are conducted in the Dora Saxe Sanctuary of Congregation Beth Shalom. Services are warm and participatory. We hope that you will join us!

Members in good standing at Beth Shalom, will receive tickets about two weeks prior to High Holy Day Services.

BIMAH FLOWERS

Contributions towards Bimah flowers are greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged from the Bimah.  You can make an online donation by clicking on the "Donate" button on our website.

COLLEGE STUDENTS/ MILITARY

College students and active duty military personnel receive complimentary tickets with current ID for High Holy Days. Please come by the office before Services.

CHILDREN’S SERVICES

Although we like families to worship together, small children may disrupt services. Therefore, children under the age of five are not encouraged to be in the sanctuary during High Holy Day Services. To provide younger children with the High Holy Day Service experience, a special Children’s Service is held the first day of Rosh HaShanna and on Yom Kippur for families with tickets. Children are also welcome and encouraged to attend the Tashlich Service, which is open to all and is held at Randol Mill Park. (Bring bread for the ducks!!)

BOOK of REMEMBRANCE

You may wish to participate in a 900 year old Jewish tradition to honor the memory of your loved ones through our annual Book of Remembrance. By doing so, you perform the act of tzedakah, which is a way to honor our loved ones whom we have lost. This Book lists dear ones whose names were removed from the “Book of Life” during past years. The memorial book will be distributed at the Yizkor Memorial Service on Yom Kippur.

PERPETUAL MEMORIAL BOARD

The memorial board in the Dora Saxe Sanctuary acts as a perpetual yahrzeit list identifying our loved ones whose names are consecrated on the memorial plates. Memorial plates cost $100 each. For information regarding the memorial board, please call the office.
